Welcome to KLT

Welcome to Kinetic Link Training - Level 1 (Functional Strength & Conditioning).

Kinetic Link Training (KLT) is a revolutionary and systematic approach to full-body, biomechanically balanced functional strength training.

In this online course, you will:

  • explore the very latest functional strength and conditioning principles.
  • learn how to design and deliver highly effective functional strength training programs by utilising an integrated approach to human biomechanics.
  • develop skills and exercises that are fully transferable across a wide spectrum of clients, including: rehabilitation, occupational conditioning or sports performance.
  • train integrated full-body movement patterns in three dimensions (including KLT's 22 essential distinct movement patterns) which follow myofascial lines and respect the kinetic link principle.
  • study an effective model for exercise description to assure accuracy in professional communication and ease of record-keeping.
  • be given a complete series of full-body workouts, which are ready to immediately deliver to clients.

All Kinetic Link Training courses integrate clinical reasoning and decades of clinical experience with the latest in scientific evidence, allowing participants to discover the most effective strategies for success.

The online delivery format is multimedia education, with a great mix of tutorials, exercise movies and reading materials (including a comprehensive course manual and many additional articles of interest). Simply scroll down each lesson, completing each video or reading in the order that they appear. At the conclusion of each lesson, click on the "Completed - Let's continue" button in order to proceed to the next lesson.

As a highly valued KLT online student, you receive full academic support throughout your course of study. You can contact us any time, with any questions (via the built in message system available in the top navigation bar).

The following movie welcomes you to this course of study and outlines the course format, how to progress through the lessons and how you will be assessed.

Acknowledgements:

We would like to thank the hundreds of exercise professionals who have attended our KLT seminars and Functional Strength and Conditioning courses all over the world since 2001. The positive recommendations and stories of successful use of our training systems has helped inspire us to create this course. We also acknowledge our fantastic exercise models who appear in many of the images and all of the movies in this course - thanks so much Skye Boyland, Carley Cunningham, Brad Cunningham, Coen Sealey, Joel Laudari and Joel Bushby. Finally, we recognize that without the support and feedback from many of our wonderful physiotherapy and fitness clients over the past 30 years many of our concepts would not have been developed.

Disclaimer:

This course is designed as guide to the implementation of an effective functional strength training program. Any exercises attempted by the student should be performed with a close attention to controlled technique and should never cause pain or discomfort. The messages in this course are not meant to be a substitute for professional medical advice. We recommend, for both safety and best results, that you seek professional medical advice before commencing any exercise program. Furthermore, we strongly suggest that you seek additional guidance and supervision from a well-qualified exercise professional if you are not confident with performing the exercises prescribed.
